This year my plan is to be as flexible as possible to accommodate as many people as possible. So, instead of trying to get a group together for lectures I am going to provide the lectures and you can fit in when you can. Because we have new Sports Divers and new Dive leaders, I propose that we alternate the lectures on a weekly basis.

Congratulations to Phil Hamer for passing the Ocean Diver theory exam with flying colours. Phil has crossed over from a PADI Open Water qualifiction, and is now embarking on the Sports Diver course. Sports Diver lectures continue at El Cid's every Tuesday at 8.00pm

Thanks to John Wardle and Steve Kershaw for sourcing and bringing out some more training gear including the Resuscianna and the adapter clamp for the O2 kit so we can refill our O2 cylinder.

Now that we have the Resuscianna, lecture 2 of the Sports Diver course will be arranged. As many club members as possible should attend this lecture which uses the Resuscianna to practise AV and CPR. Dates of lectures will be posted.

Club fees remain at 90euros per person and 60euros for the second person from the same family.

Contact Michael Rush for continuation training for Nitrox,O2, First aid, Diver coxwain, also any Ocean diver wishing to progress to Sport diver.

CLUB EQUIPMENT CHARGES

Wet suits, BCDs, Regs, Torches, Cylinders and Full snorkel sets (fins, mask and snorkell tube). All charged at 2euros/item/week.

These charges do not apply when your own equipment is in for service and you are using the coresponding piece of equipment.

All equipment to be returned promptly and cylinders full.

When friends and relations from overseas are going diving with you, a full set of diving equipment can be supplied for 20euros/week.

No charge will be made to novice divers ie Ocean Diver trainees or other paid up club divers undergoing training who require the use of club equipment.

DIVE SHOPS

Diving Javea Most items (Not all) in the shop come with a 10% discount on production of BSAC members card. Cylinder refill and insurance charges are as follows

40 euros for annual insurance

3 euros for air fill (make sure you tell the staff you are BSAC club members)

Les Basetes Cylinder refill and insurance charges are as follows

30-40 euros for annual insurance

3 euros for air fill.
